Selkirk Lodge COVID-19 Information

2022/2023 Winter Ski Season

 

Selkirk Lodge’s COVID-19 and communicable disease policies are based on industry best practices outlined by the Backcountry Lodges of British Columbia Association, the ACMG, WorkSafe BC, BC Public Health Office and Health Canada. We ask for your understanding regarding the constantly changing landscape of this situation, and recognize that COVID-19 policies and practices are subject to change as we move through this together. The most up to date and detailed information can be found in our Communicable Disease Prevention Plan, please take the time to read through it if you are planning a trip with us.

COVID 19 Cancellation Information for the 2022/2023 Winter Ski Season

 

If you develop cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of your trip start date, cancellation of your trip to Selkirk Lodge is mandatory. Depending on what kind of trip you are on, you need to contact either Selkirk Lodge, your trip organizer, or your Independent Guide as soon as possible.

 

Please read our full Cancellation Policy, which outlines any specific COVID-19 related cancellation policy adjustments for your specific reservation type.

 

Selkirk Lodge recommends that Independent Guides and Group Booking trip organizers maintain a waitlist, in order to fill these last minute cancellations, so that you may be able to offer a refund of some kind to the cancelled guest. Selkirk Lodge is not responsible for providing refunds or filling last minute spaces on any trips. 

 

 

 

Pre-Trip 

  • Ensure that you are prepared for travel and that you know what the requirements are for travel to Canada/British Columbia from your home country/province.

  • Everyone attending the lodge will be required to show proof of vaccination.

  • Everyone attending the lodge will be required to sign a Pre-Trip Declaration of Health and Exposure.

At the lodge

  • We have hired an additional staff member in order to ensure proper sanitation

  • We have installed two touch-less hand washing stations

  • High touch surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected regularly

Travel Restrictions and Quarantine Requirements 

 

Selkirk Lodge can not make any guarantees with regard to travel restrictions, travel advisories, or quarantine laws associated with travel to, or within Canada at the time of your trip. By making a reservation with us, you do so knowing that travel restrictions/advisories and quarantine laws may prevent you from participating in your trip to Selkirk Lodge, or add time and expense to your trip, and that no refunds will be issued.
